What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ARTis a unique therapy using eye movements and a specific protocol to help with a variety of emotional and mental health challenges. This can include specific things like phobias, nightmares, flashbacks, accidents, and performance challenges, but also more complex things like struggles with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and grief/loss. It uses eye movements (similar to those experienced during REM sleep) to help process and reprogram the brain from negative emotions into the neutral or positive emotions, making new connections, and highlighting your strengths and problem-solving abilities. It can provide clarity and lightness to intermittent or ongoing emotional and physical challenges. Most importantly, it can release the grip these challenges have on you.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy is known for its efficiency and effectiveness, with many individuals experiencing significant symptom relief in a relatively short period compared to traditional talk therapies. It’s important to note that Accelerated Resolution Therapy may not be suitable for everyone and its effectiveness can vary depending on individual circumstances and the nature of the trauma being addressed.

Benefits of Accelerated Resolution Therapy

Some of the benefits or reasons people choose Accelerated Resolution Therapy instead of or alongside other therapy include:

  • Talking about the issue is minimal.  You do not have to provide extensive details. Accelerated Resolution Therapy supports the brain to release and reprogram your emotional triggers without needing to cognitively or verbally repeating the issue or event.
  • Only 1-3 sessions can provide significant clarity and release. Often, no further sessions are needed around that specific challenge, although people may find additional benefits with other challenges or problems.
  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy can leads us to the root or cause of our challenges.
  • We want to do more than just understand what’s going on or why you feel the way you do. Accelerated Resolution Therapy seeks to release the connection between your triggers and your emotions so that it’s less disruptive to your life.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy May Be Useful For…

  • break-ups (still thinking about them despite trying to move forward)
  • sleep issues (worrying about not falling asleep keeping you awake at night)
  • nightmares (nightmares and flashbacks plaguing your sleep or day)
  • accidents (still cringing and seeing it happen, feeling like life can’t return to normal, or avoiding things)
  • habits you can’t break (find that when you’re stressed or emotional, you fall back into old patterns)
  • sports performance (had a crash you can’t get over, or getting too much in your head)
  • in-laws (finding yourself clenching your teeth or reacting unlike yourself when the in-laws are in town)
  • your inner voice keeps repeating the same message that doesn’t allow you to move forward on your dreams and goals
  • pain (coping with chronic physical pain or chronic emotional pain can be exhausting)
  • trauma (the tiny memory from the past that continues to poke at you even now that you’ve moved on, or is coming back to haunt you)

Amazing experience with Carrie and Jessica of Direct Health. I have been plagued with sudden joint inflammations for the last 8 months that were both painful and mobility limiting. I have been seeing specialists about this, and they would only look at one joint at a time rather than look at the entire picture to try to understand what was happening with me. Carrie took the time with me to go through my health history, organized and analyzed the necessary bloodwork to fill in the gaps, organized a neck x-ray to get further understanding (which yielded information that I wasn't aware of and which could contribute at least partially to my problems), and finally took the time to discuss all the findings with me, including that they mean to me moving forward. Essentially I was left with the impression that I now had a quarterback acting on my behalf to find solutions, arrange to see specialists, etc. Highly recommend this team to anyone who wants excellent care for their health concerns.
Jessica got us through a very difficult time after my husband fell and was unable to go out to see our family doctor. We loved that she came to the house, got things done, had suggestions for further treatment and gave us enough time to discuss our concerns. She will continue to be my husband’s practitioner.
I found the service offered by direct health was excellent. My doctor was not only knowledgeable but caring, friendly, and very professional. I did not feel uncomfortable or that my concerns were dismissed at any one time. Also, you pay for an hour and you actually get an hour with the doctor's time; allowing you to ask questions regarding any concerns you have. I would definitely recommend them.
I am so thankful for this service. They discovered a life threatening heart arrhythmia during an in-home visit with my husband who was very ill with a viral infection. Direct health provided quick comprehensive and proactive treatment and care. Thank you!
Jessica is absolutely incredible, she come to my house and was extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend direct health for your health needs. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
